good bye flickr... thanks to all of ya.

i found flickr in july 2005. we all had free accounts back then. it was cool.

my "pro" account expires in three days (3.3.9). seems like just yesterday when this place used to be a lot of fun. i haven't posted in quite some time and i am just not that into it since all the yahoo shenanigans. actually, i think flickr started the downward spiral for me when they hired heather. a lot of you like her, i never cared for the 'tude.

i have had a lot of fun.
i have wasted a lot of time.
i have learned a lot.
i have developed a hobby.
i have met some dear lifelong friends.

my "pro" account investment was absolutely worth it, but there is no renewal for moi. i am sure i will post something going forward but we'll see.

with that... i leave you with what i consider my most "interesting" photo.

this guy has a bike tire repair business. he hangs out (and sleeps) until someone with a flat tire shows up needing a repair. these guys are all over the place, but i believe only this guy has mastered the bike as mattress thing.

this was such a random picture. i was walking in a nowhere part of town and came across this guy. he was sleeping when i first started shooting him and then he woke up. this is about three seconds after he woke up. he actually got off the bike and demanded that i give him money for the pic. i gave him a couple thousand dong (maybe 30 cents or so?). i think it was well worth the cost.
