Planet Nagoya! The Odaka park terminal...

Welcome to Planet Nagoya!

This is my another photo-experiment, inspired by wonderful "planetoid" pictures by some Flickr members, in particular Sam Rohn.

After joining the Flickr community I have already learned some very nice, useful and sometimes funny techniques, shared by other members through their pictures or comments.

As for this photo, it was originally a normal 360° panorama, "The autumn is all around".

Another experiment with Orton effect. I am starting to like it more and more. Probably soon I'll try to play with some of my other images.
This shot was taken in the Imperial Garden in Tokyo - a very beutiful place in the middle of one of the most busy cities in the world.

The original photo was taken in the Imperial Garden in Tokyo. Later it was processed into HDR using one NEF file. And the final "touch" was adding a slight Orton effect (used 7.5 radius setting for the Gaussian blur when processing).

The pano was taken in Odaka park (in its part close to Shinkansen lines) at the outskirts of Nagoya at the end of November, 2006 (same place as my previous pano The Colorscape of Fall in Nagoya).

Some details:
Camera - Canon PowerShot A95 with Marumi CP-L filter
Total there were 17 vertical images taken. PTGui software with smartblend plug-in was used for stiching. After stiching the pano was finally slightly processed in Photoshop (curves, levels, etc.) including Photomatix plug-in for some tonemapping.
