One of my bikes parked up in Pantasaph, North Wales. I bought this at a charity shop. 1:18th Scale. I don't know the manufacturer or brand as there was no box, though the build quality is similar to New Ray.

Here's my Fireblade parked up at Flint Castle in North Wales. The castle was built between the years 1277-1284 and was part of Edward 1's "Ring of iron" as part of his campaign to conquer Wales. The castle was built to a unique fortress design, the details of which can be found on Wiki.

Loggerheads, near Mold in Flintshire is a country park. Formerly owned by Crosville, it brought many people from Merseyside into North Wales for a day out in quite rural surroundings. Latterly, the park is open to the general public and is enjoyed for its walks, natural settings and its tea room. Here, among the parks signs to its heritage, are two Mine cars from the days when lead was mined throughout the area and a reminder of how industry sits with the heritage of the county.

It may be said that, here, I was walking along with fellow Flickr member Firefly by Duple.

The British version of the German Opel Speedster, this one being made for the British market, in a production run that only lasted from 2000 to 2005, built at the Lotus factory in Hethal, Norfolk. The car, a targa-top, 2-seater sports car is based on the Lotus Elise. A lot was said of the speed and handling.

This model, registered in 2003, was seen in Flint, North Wales - and is the first one I've seen.

Taken in the woodland just off the old section of the A55 in Lloc. Normally, I take photos of the bluebells here, but the unseasonal weather has given us another picture. Here and nearby are several Tumuli - ancient burial mounds.

One of Matchbox's more popular models - the site truck with hut. This was photographed in Pantasaph, North Wales on a recent sunny day. While being a favourite, it is not my original as mine, along with a number of other Matchbox, Corgi and Husky cars were given away when I was deemed too old for such things. I bought this one on Ebay. Nicely-worn, played with and loved, it sits on my bookshelf.

Following a heritage trail the other day I happened upon an abandonned stone house that would, in years gone by, overlooked the disused railway line that linked the North Wales coast line to the town of Holywell.

Photographed near Flint railway station in North Wales, is a decent example of an Austin A35. It's very much a project in progress and the owner, whom I spoke to, is very fond of his car for a variety of reasons.

I also like the chrome badge on the boot lid that reads Austin England.

In the city of Chester, stands this small sculpture of the Elephant Janya, placed here to mark the strong link between the city of Chester and the famous Chester Zoo some miles away.

Only available in the UK for a short time, so comparitively rare in RHD, the Renault Wind started out as a concept car that went into production. Originally a 2+1 roadster, the production version is classified as a 2-seater roadster with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car has a number of excellent design features, my favourite being the recessed rear window.

Parked up in Pantasaph, North Wales, is my Mercedes SL500. It was a grey November day. Not ideal for model photography. I bought it in a charity shop for £1. There is no maker's name on the underside, only that it was 'Made in China'. 1:36 scale.

I work for the RNLI as Publicity Officer for our local branch and general fundraiser. Here, I was making an apple pie for one of the fundraising lunches we have during the year. Everyone on the committee provides a pudding or pie, so the punters at least have a choice.

This is an attempt at some arty shot, taken almost thirty years ago - in the baking summer of 1984. This is the Pump Rooms at Bath, taken from a reflection in the waters of the Great Roman Bath itself, the largest of the three baths open to the public. The waters were very warm and not unpleasant, though I declined a taste in the upstairs civility of the Pump Rooms.

I understand visitors are not allowed to go down to the level of the baths anymore. I don't know why; maybe Health & Safety, or if this is just a temporary measure while further work is being carried out.

Originally taken on my Minolta SRT100X with a 45mm Rokkor lens and Ektachrome 64 - probably my favourite of the transparency film stock.

Digitized with a slide scanner.

Here is my Ford Focus RS scuffing up some leaves near the town of Holywell, Flintshire. There is an area that once had the railway passing through, though the railway hasn't run for about fifty years. The arches that stood at the station end still stand and remain a feature of the town.

This is a remote control car and is approx 1:16 scale

It's unusual to see such a vehicle in our town. Here, outside Tesco, such an example graces us with its Latin styling. I don't think I'd have noticed it at all had it not been for the several times the lady driver passed me looking for a parking space - oh, and the engine, humming as it did like a well-oiled bird.
