This Robothespian was one of the best exhibits, you could programme him to talk and interact with the other people watching, even to the level of reciting movie quotes (with accent!) and poems

this is a quick selfie with HJ standing in front of me. I have had a slight play with the levels and then upped the saturation some what :o)

Incidentally this I think is my 1,600th upload.

Was also good to meet a long time contact for the first time in the centres coffee shop. Took me an age to decide to ask if it was actually him or not :-)

2013 Project 52 - 13 Indian Cooking in Fife

had a fantastic day with Mandeep, who is originally from Delhi, learning how to cook authentic indian dishes from scratch, ranging from pakora (onion & potato shown) here to Mandeep's own chicken curry, via the best basmati rice i have had yet and then finishing with Seviya & nuts as a desert (think sweet fruity spaghetti!) :o)

eating the pakora as they come out of the hot oil was a proper treat and the tamarind & chilli chutney Mandeep made previously is just the perfect dip ... so very tasty :o)

Mandeep was a great teacher and did not appear to mind my constant stream of questions and in fact we had a right good blether as the time flew by. I was surprised by how simple and easy all of the dishes were and they did not require hundreds of ingredients to make them taste astounding.

Mandeep runs 'supper clubs', as well as teaches and I can really see a 'flickrites in fife' outing coming up soon. Her website is indiancookinginfife.com and please do pay a visit ... if only to drool over the food :o)

this was a quick snap using the 100mm L Macro and my Sigma Ring Flash, nothing fancy as no time for photography ... not with this lot to polish off ;o)
