aiyah posted a photo:

usui : los angeles

there's nothing i quite love more than a nice bowl of shiro ae. it's a cold tofu "salad" mixed with ground up sesame, konnyaku and some julienned green beans. it's such a lovely lovely melding of flavors and it's usually considered a "granny dish" but as long as i love it, i could care less.

i tried making this at home a long time ago but it was a disaster. when i come back from asia, i gotta try making it again. i'm so glad i got a chance to indulge in it before my trip.

oh and i haven't left yet. departure date is this thursday (chinese new year day). :) i should get my ass off of flickr so i can start packing huh? ;)
