Rembrandt moved to Amsterdam in 1631. Rembrandt and Amsterdam are inextricably linked with each other. This shot shows the Oudezijds Voorburgwal ( Red Light District)
Rembrandt was a frequent visitor to the Oude Kerk (this area) and his children were all christened here. He loved this view...

Just a step from Anne Frank House, on the other side of the Prinsengracht a small museum has been organized, dedicated exclusively to Dutch cheese.
The Netherlands has over 600 years of cheese making history and is the birthplace of many well loved examples, such as Edam, Leerdammer, Gouda, Leyden, and of course Old Amsterdam.

The Prince of Orange, Willem-Alexander will be the first Dutch king in more than a 100 years.
His investiture at the Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam is set to take place on 30 April 2013. He will then be known as King Willem-Alexander. His wife Princes Máxima will become Queen Máxima.

People who love sentimental songs and tourists are welcome with them.

Basically a place where everyone is always welcome for a good conversation and a nice evening.

Yawners are the ancient symbol of a drugstore (Drogisterij) in Holland.
The yawner was also called a black moors head.
At first is was not presented with a pill on his tong but with a role of sulphur in his mouth, an eastern drug against plague.
