I liked the textures of the metal steps against the covering of leaves. This was taken beside the River Avon and the steps leads down to one of the many navgational lights beside the river.

In retrospect, this might have been better with the focus at the back, rather than the front, but I liked the colours too much to ditch it.

Derelict Docks

Old, disused docking platform, as seen from Clifton Suspension Bridge. Not quite the beautiful bridge in the sunrise shot I had planned, but those out with their cameras in the south west this weekend will know the light was terrible.

This is a disused stretch of track set back off the waterfront, along from the SS Great Britain.

Taken during the Southwest Social Club meet on Bristol Waterfront.

Disassembled railway tracks loaded aboard some rolling stock beside Bristol waterfront.

Approx 1/3 mile away in the distance is a row of colourful terraced houses, as seen entering Bristol from Gordano.

I had a fun filled Sunday afternoon, with the South West Social Group, where they set up a lighting workshop on Bristol Waterfront.

This is the first time I've tried any kind of portrait work and off-camera lighting.

Credit goes to the stunningly beautiful Holly, who is equally new to being in front of the camera. It definetly should not be her last!

This is one of my favourite shots from the day.

Lit with softbox at 1/32, camera right.
