A poster for the forthcoming Pet Shop Boys remix album, which unlike the others in the series is actually remixes by them of other people's stuff, rather than collections of their 12" versions.

The poster contains a series of 2d barcodes which contain special messages, but I've bothered to put the software on my phone yet (and anyway I doubt it'll work on Series 40).

The photo's been fairly heavily processed, mainly cropping and levels, because I was standing in the middle of the main road to take it. Wish I'd remembered to open the aperture a bit more. Oh well.

Well, actually, the Queen was only there in portrait form, the balloon was a gift from someone who didn't want to take it home, and the passport is another application away (that's just a passport holder). candace really is now British, though.

Well, the flames leaping off the top of a bonfire. This was on Cavendish Green; Clare's seemingly stopped having a bonfire, which is a shame.

Altoids and Camera

As thegareth noticed last week, I've been using candace's old Pentax Optio S4 a bit as a point and shoot / pocket camera.

This was brought on largely by the snap purchase of some Altoids in Boston airport, as they provide a handy storage tin for the camera. It's really not that good, but I do seem to carry it around a bit more than the 350D, and it's better than my current phone camera (and probably not worse than any on the market I'd care to buy.

A collection of special edition Penguin books on a display stand in Foyles. Not sure if there's a particular reason for these.

Annoyingly, they're the newer, bigger paperback size, so they don't go with classic Penguins at all.
