I shot this photo during a steady rain. These are feeder springs along the banks of the Autrain River, Alger County, about 15 miles southwest of Munising .

Empire Bluff Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore

This is a view of Lake Michigan taken from the Empire Bluffs trail. You can barely see it but there's an ice shanty on the inland lake you see in the upper right. That is South Bar Lake. When I zoom in too 100% in my editing program, I can see a guy fishing, and also can see a deer browsing midway into the scene.

Dangerously thin ice on Lake Superior near the Lighthouse. Strong currents flowing through the channel in Munising Bay prevent the ice from getting thick enough to safely walk on.

I took this shot a few minutes after crawling out of Lake Superior. (fell through the ice) My plan was to walk around on the ice to not "track-up" the fresh snow for the the photo, but... I wasn't quite ready to go for another swim!! Oh well..adds a little human element. :)

The Red - Osier Dogwood,, contrasts nicely with the fresh snow along the banks of Otter Creek. I saw a bobcat in this location a few months ago.

"Reflected Light" Holland Harbor Lighthouse, known as (Big Red).

I was standing there trying to get a shot of the lighthouse (without a tripod) because I ran it over earlier in the day; when this gentleman walks up and sparks a conversation. I proceed to tell about my full day of adventures in St. Joseph, and then my mishap with the tripod at another part of town. He then says.. " I have your tripod in my car" ... I'm like WHAT? He says yea I was driving by this parking lot and noticed this tripod laying there that had been run over so I threw it in my car. haha.. He gave it back to me and I was able to salvage the ballhead!

Anyway, I managed to support the camera against the pier railing, to get a couple of shots of "Big Red" reflecting into the harbor.
