Think this ended up looking more like an elephants skin rather than just a few cracks in the tarmac...still, the roads are dreadful, potholes, surface wearing away, overly aggressive drivers... cycling is becoming an extreme sport.

I enjoy using this camera, it tucks nicely into my bike saddle bag, so it is a go everywhere camera, and is great fun to use. A little homage to it today...

Decided to try a diptych today to offer a better overview of the scene...ironic it should be of water because that is exactly what is now dripping down in various parts of my house as there has been a leak, hopefully it will dry out and no major damage will have occurred...other than bit of paint which looks a bit flakey...sigh!

To keep my motivation high - for this project and my cycling, I plan photo opportunities into my cycle route. Today this was a convenient stop off as it was a photo I have wanted to take for ages. In true fashion, I do not feel I have done the old building justice with my technique, but there is always another day and another opportunity...so let's just call it a proof of concept photo (is there such a thing?) and revisit it again.

Nikon are supporting the National Blind Childrens Society by offering their NPU members camera and sensor cleaning for £10, all of which is donated to charity. Their HQ also happens to be very close to the Apple store, so I just had to make the trip and visit both locations. Somehow I managed to leave the Apple store without spending any money...that's a first!

I went without my camera tonight, so had to cobble together this effort as a reminder of a pleasant evening.

Have to keep reminding myself this is about reflecting day to day life rather than creating a masterpiece, not that I produce many of those, but still, I think if I had my camera on me I could have done a little better than this...
