I went for a walk with some friends along the River Derwent in Derby. I was reasonably pleased with this image of Derby Cathedral and Cathedral Green Footbridge. The bridge is quite interesting as it is designed to swing to one side when the water level is high.

The chateau at Chenonceau, as you can see, is built on a bridge acorss the River Cher. It was a grey day, when we made our visit, so monochrome was my prefered choice. It was built in the 16th century. It has changed hands many times but has been owned by the Menier family (famous for chocolates) since 1913.

Last night I visited the River Trent in Nottingham with some friends from Long Eaton CC. I wanted to capture the floodlit Wilford Bridge but also include a couple of moored boats. This was difficult in the dark but, with a little help from HDR, I think that I have managed it. Really worth looking at on black. Please press 'L'.

This is a view that I took of Chatsworth House in Derbyshire last Autumn. This year the building is being restored and is wrapped in polythene - due to be removed shortly. Hopefully, it will soon look even better.
