Math vocabulary Wordle bulletin board in teacher Shannon's grade 8 math classroom. Letters were individually cut out using an electronic paper cutting device, and stapled to a bulletin board. Size is approximately 2 x 4 feet.

Ellerslie Campus Library (Elementary & Junior High School).

Library technician Marlene is getting ready to give book talks on the Young Reader's Choice Awards nominees for 2013, which will then be displayed under the poster she's made.

Putting up posters and displays is a great use of too-tall shelves and/or extra shelf space.

U Can't Touch This

Students are starting to return textbooks at the end of the school year, so I put up signs on returned books asking students not to touch them. I've also had many students ask who "McHammer" is and does he have anything to do with McDonald's restaurants, or ask what kind of hammer an MC hammer is! It's really hard not to laugh out loud as I explain who he is and watch them frantically look him up on their electronic devices.

Last year I had this sign up and it was a hit, so I decided to use it again. (Photo of last year's sign in action --> www.flickr.com/photos/vblibrary/4709333227/)
