2008 Audi R8.

I took this shot the same way I took the shot of the Carrera GT from above, but here I converted the white sidewalk bricks to white in order for them to match the color of the car.

The downside to using off camera flashes from this position is that the shadows can't be avoided, so I tried cloning them out as best I can.

Two off camera flashes (Speedlite 580EXII) triggered by PW plus II units.

Porsche Turbo 997.

The sky is the obvious item in the background, it was a very cloudy and gray day, but somehow I managed to get all those colors to come out with Photoshop. I think it's because of the awesome power of the 5D Mark IIs full frame sensor. :)

This was taken part of the Voluntary Work Center's Car Photography workshop. Everyone had a lot of fun shooting some classic cars like this Pontiac Trans-Am, Corvette Stingray, Pontiac Firebird and some other cars.

I didn't have my tripod near me so I had to push the ISO up and take this hand held.

Two off camera flashes were used for this shot. I was planning on using a third but it didn't work for some reason.

Two Canon Speedlite flashes were used to light the front and side of the car, having a third flash would really be ideal. Flashes that were used are the 580EXII and 430EX triggered by Canon Speedlite transmitter.

This is similar to the F355 shot I uploaded back in late January with three key differences.
- The sun is reflecting in the water
- Better angle for the car
- No Flamingo flock flying

I would have preferred to have this composition with the flamingos flying, but unfortunately when doing sunset shoots, time is your enemy and I was in too much of a hurry. Lesson learned.

I used three Canon flashes triggered by Canon flash transmitter (580EX, 580EXII and 430EX).

I've wanted to take a shot like this for a long time. Glad I finally got to do it.

I just love this car. When it first came out I wasn't really particularly in love with it, but after learning how to photograph cars I have also learned to appreciate them even more. This is one beautiful German masterpiece.

The fourth in my White Knight series. I didn't really like the results from that shoot because I wanted to use the 5D Mark II for it and instead I used the 40D.

Now I can always use the 5D Mark II. Hopefully I will be able to shoot more R8s soon.

Blue Pierrot Butterfly

I know that the name of this Butterfly doesn't really sound right, because it's black and white as you can see. But the truth is, the outside part of the wings is blue and can only be seen when it's flying. Whenever it lands on a plant or flower it looks like this. This is a really small Butterfly maybe around 2 cm long if not less.

I have been absent for a short while but now I'm back.
