We had no idea where this market place was, but mogey recognised it in record time as being Grattan Square in Dungarvan, Co. Waterford!

We have the National Bank on one corner, and Charles McCarthy, draper over to the right. There's a faded O'Connor and a Walsh. Oh, and not one, but two men working up ladders! Is that a record?

There's a fantastic sign on the shed with a List of Tolls, but unfortunately they're not legible. Next to the toll sign is a poster advertising a Sale, mention of Thomas McCarthy, and I think it says on Monday [?] August...

An unusual one for today's Pic of the Day, but couldn't resist it. This is the upstairs store of H. Downes & Company, 10 Thomas Street, Waterford. It's allegedly a space for tea blending, but all of these earthenware jugs seem to be holding stronger liquid than tea, including Jameson's Whiskey!
