O'Connell Monument under Construction

You can see from the hoardings, complete with people peeping through them, that construction seems to have started on the O'Connell Monument.

We did some work on dating this photo that should be of use to us with this later one...

Great view of a bustling O'Connell Bridge and Sackville Street (now O'Connell Street), Dublin. Particularly love the clarity of the sign for the Gun Powder Office - not a product that is heavily advertised nowadays... And think that the time on the clock at Chancellor's Studio is saying 10:20?
