&lt;p&gt;If you've been near the coast, there is a short ferry trip here across the river Suir over to Passage East which saves you going all the way up to New Ross just to come down the other side of the inlet and river to get to Waterford&lt;br /&gt;
This was the worst day for weather during my 5 day visit to Ireland with cold wind and rain, but Ireland looks great in any weather - and the pubs are great too!&lt;br /&gt;
From here we went on to Waterford and Tramore, but it was wet in Waterford and cold and windy in Tramore - still worth the visit, but having been there I wouldn't rush back next time unless the sun was shining.&lt;br /&gt;
