Samsung to Clinch a Deal with Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education to Train Aspiring Designers

Samsung Electronics and Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education or SMOE inked a deal “Nurturing Designer Talents for Future Creativity” to train aspiring designers and to broaden the base to support them on the 15th. The signing ceremony was attended by Kim Kwan-bok, Vice Superintendent at SOME, and Chang Dong-Hoon, VP at Design Management Center of Samsung Electronics. Samsung Electronics plans to run ‘Samsung Creative Membership Program’ tailor-made for primary and secondary school students. SOME will come in on the selection process to have the best candidates and sponsor the creativity camp.

삼성전자-서울시교육청, 디자인 인재 육성 협약 체결

삼성전자와 서울시교육청은 15일 디자인 인재 육성과 저변 확대를 위한 '미래 창의 디자인 인재 발굴 및 육성' 협약을 체결했다. 서울시교육청에서 진행된 협약식에는 서울시교육청 김관복 부교육감, 장동훈 삼성전자 디자인경영센터 부사장이 참석했다. 삼성전자는 협약을 통해 초ㆍ중ㆍ고등학생별 맞춤형 '삼성 크리에이티브 멤버십 프로그램'을 운영할 예정이며, 서울시교육청은 이를 위한 멤버십 대상 학생 선발 지원, 창의캠프 후원 등의 역할을 맡게 된다.

Samsung Electronics has successfully developed 45 NANO embedded Flash or eFlash logic process and the flash memory-embedded smart card IC test chip. Embedded flash logic process represents flash memory circuit that is arranged to memorize the data inside the system’s semiconductor circuit which again controls and processes the data. The power efficient chips with high integration density can be used in various applications such as home appliances, mobile devices, and cars.

삼성전자, 업계 최초 45나노 임베디드 플래시 로직 공정 개발

삼성전자가 업계 최초로 45나노 임베디드 플래시(embedded Flash 혹은 eFlash, 플래시메모리 내장형) 로직 공정 개발과 이를 적용한 스마트카드 IC 테스트 칩 개발에 성공했다. 임베디드 플래시 로직 공정은 데이터를 제어하고 처리하는 시스템 반도체 회로 안에 데이터를 기억하는 플래시메모리 회로를 구현한 것으로 집적도와 전력효율을 높일 수 있어 가전, 모바일, 자동차 등 다양한 애플리케이션을 위한 제품에 적용할 수 있다.

Samsung Electronics released 2 dehumidifiers for consumers to be prepared for hot and humid summer which is expected to be worse than usual this year. The two products Samsung launched on the 15th are 13 liter premium and 5.5 liter mini versions of dehumidifiers to control the humidity in the air. Those dehumidifiers automatically stop operation when the water tank is full to prevent overflow, and if the drain hose is connected in the back users can enjoy ‘continuous dehumidifying mode’ and set the ideal humidity level to maintain proper humidity level.

삼성전자, "제습기로 습한 여름 대비하세요"

삼성전자가 평년보다 무덥고 습할 것으로 예상되는 올 여름을 대비할 수 있는 제습기 2종을 새롭게 내놨다. 삼성전자는 15일 실내의 습도를 조절해 찐득거리지 않고 쾌적한 실내환경을 만들어 주는 13L 용량의 프리미엄 제습기와 5.5L의 미니 제습기 등 2종을 출시했다. 삼성 제습기는 물통에 물이 가득 차면 스스로 작동을 멈춰 물 넘침 우려가 없고, 제품 후면에 호스를 연결하면 물통을 비우는 일 없이 계속 사용할 수 있는 '연속 제습 기능'과 장소와 상황에 맞게 습도를 설정할 수 있는 '희망습도 설정 기능'을 갖췄다.

Samsung Electronics won 2013 TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) for four consecutive times. Samsung Electronics announced on the 6th that its latest products such as Smart Camera NX300 and its world's first 45mm f/1.8 (2D/3D) lens that shoots in both 2D and 3D, Galaxy Camera equipped with Android OS, and Smart TV F8000 won 2013 TIPA Awards organized by TIPA. It has been the first time for Samsung Electronics to win over three categories of Camera products in TIPA Awards strengthening its presence in global camera maker.
