Although the chain stores went into liquidation a few days ago with the possibility of a couple of buyers for the Firm, all branches shut their doors this morning and ceased trading. RIP.

And yet another one bites the dust! Well not quite as bad. This one has joined with PC World a while ago. They have now decided to merge the two business, and close the Town Centre branch. It is now a trail up to the Retail Park for computer requirements. Which is not very convenient.

The bridge is almost finished and spans the top lock at the Knob End Canal in Little Lever.. So called because the parts used to build it resemble the parts in a Mecano construction Kit. I personally don't like it, as it looks out of keeping with the surroundings, and is more in keeping with an industrial area which this is not.

A X2 telle converter. It increases the focal length of the tellephoto lens by twice its size. Needs a bit of practice getting used to it though. With my Geriatric overlay, a tripod is becoming more essential.

The cold frosty weathewr has stimulated my Christmas Rose to start flowering. It will continue to do so right through the winter. Up to the end of February mid March. A welcome sight in the long winter.
