Preserved West Midlands MCW Metrobuses B811AOP and D957NDA at Wythall.

2957 carries the Timesaver french blue livery and 2811 is in as withdrawn TWM livery.

2400 is one of few ex West Midlands MK1 Metrobuses to still see service.

GH Watts Metrobus ROX636Y still retains it's night door. One of a few fitted as an experiment in the WMT era, to close off the upper deck to passengers.

Lea Hall based MCW Metrobus B787AOC at Masshouse, an area which has changed massively in recent years.

2787 was a late survivor and is still in service with Abbey Travel in the Leicester area.

Yardley Wood based MCW Metrobus A753WVP working out of Birmingham on the 35 during September 08.

Metrobuses replaced Leyland Lynxes on this route, which is now in the hands of Dennis Tridents.

Park Lane based MCW Metrobus G122FJW loading on a 256 working to Stourbridge in August 2009. This was the final summer of MCW operation in the city, with the final examples leaving here 2 months later.

3122 was one of the last Metros delivered to West Midlands Travel, serving the West Midlands for just under 20 years before being sold to PVS.

Former West Midlands / Yorkshire Terrier MCW Metrobuses at the Stagecoach Yorkshire Holbrook depot. In the line are ex: 2595, 2494, 2489, 2586, 2573, 2449, 2443, 2474, and 2516.

1 month later they were all withdrawn, with 2443, 2516 and 2595 passing to M.Travel and 2449 went into preservation.

TWM MCW Metrobus A731UOE works through Digbeth on a 590A from Coleshill.

2731 had transferred from Yardley Wood to end it's days at Lea Hall, where it was based at the time of this photo. It later passed to Hamiltons coaches to be used as a source of spares.

West Midlands Metrobus A765WVP pulls out of Mellish Road on a 367 working from Aldridge to Walsall 11/02/08.

2765 had spent much of its career in Coventry and was one of the final Metros to gain a full repaint into this livery.

2769 at Walsall Arboretum

MCW Metrobus A769WVP passes Walsall Arboretum on a 366 working from Sutton Coldfield to Walsall 11/02/08.

2769 had spent most of it's career in Coventry and along with 2765 and 2830, was one of the final Metros to be repainted into this livery.

On a hot summers day Yardley Wood based MCW Metrobus A710UOE passes through Birmingham city centre whilst working the 2 to Maypole (despite the blinds still showing the inbound journey).

Whilst the front opening windows filled the bus with insetcs when open wide, they at least allowed more ventilation for passengers near the front upstairs than more modern vehicles.

The date is January 16th 2007.
