Ink, hard pressed & specialty pencil crayons 2003. These two pieces were the first made specially for my daughters room. I have a toddler so the colours were perfect for her. The original shape of the man and woman were inspired by a Gemini pattern in a book about astrological crafts. The book title and author's name will be posted as soon as I locate it.

Commentary on war. The figure is dancing in victory but they are blinded and can't see that the spoils of war are destruction. In a sense I'm saying that I find victory in war almost futile. I didn't edit this after scanning so excuse the fire colour, it looks better on the original

Ink on paper. This is the another in the ink series (yet unnamed) this one is different from it's draft, when I did it I really felt like avoiding the black for some reason many empty boxes meant more to me. The previous version my husband says reminds him of the Clive Barker book "Imagica"

I love this but I don't feel she's finished yet. I often get to this point with my work where I worry I might ruin what I have if I keep going. So pieces like this end up in a big pile that I occasionally flip thru when seeking inspiration. If I feel I'm in a mode to tackle another piece again I will. Picture is 6 x 8 on 8 1/2 x 11 in paper.

This is a work in progress, maybe. The paper got damp accidently so it's harder to work on, I might try doing this again at some later point.

Ink on paper. I can not remember the source for this picture but I believe it was Munch, the woman in the center is mimicked, the rest is my own. Text reads: “Your broken Madonna with rotting flesh, is still your idol long after death. Made from dust she returns to dust and can no longer save you”. Markers 1997. Homo-saw, to clarify, is the culmination of Homosapian and jig saw. This was an attempted pop-art peice that didn't end up being too productive, but very colourful.

Ink & lightly smudged dry pastels 2003. This is the 1st in my ongoing 'Self' series. Creativity, represented here, has no hands to draw with, no mouth to verbalize his ideas, no eyes, no nose, no feet, that would all help him in manifesting his creativity. So he imagines & sees all these wonders in his mind but has no way to share these wonders with others. This was is based on my feelings about art. I feel what I see in my mind, or wish to create, is almost impossible with the tools I have.
