Male Common Grackle putting on quite the show for the ladies...be glad when they migrate back to wherever they came from lol..can't stand to listen to them! So, this photo is SOOC, except for a small crop... I can't get to Aviary, the little search box at the top right of my page is covering the option to edit in Aviary I think :( this Flickr still sucks to me!!!!!!!!!!! The weather is awful again, until Monday now they're saying...I need SUN LOL...well...thanks for listening...hope you all have a great day/night..thanks so much for your visits!!

Not sure what kind of heron this is...it flew up out of the bushes the other day in front of hubby and I while we were walking one of the local trails...so this shot was totally out of the blue lol...not too bad for me!! Had a heck of a time remembering how to change the date on this on here..grrrrrrrrrr...hope you all have a great day/night..many thanks for your visits!

This gray squirrel wouldn't stay off the platform bird feeder, and it has it's own feeder chock full of peanuts...we kept scaring it off...well the last time we did...it grabbed the orange we had out for the Orioles and off it went lol...so funny....he ate it too!

Now, I am LOST with this new format on here...I can't even see where I can go to edit in Aviary anymore??!! I am not liking this so far...but like anything will get used to it I'm sure! Hope you all have a great day/night...thanks so much for your visits!

Good morning/evening everyone! The Immature Male Oriole that was here has left..and yesterday this lady appeared :) so hoping that an adult Male is in the neighborhood somewhere?!! Yay!! We finally have an Oriole..we have had oranges out for a couple of weeks now...and yesterday this guy appeared :)...they sure like the oranges...he kept coming back and coming back lol...he won't be here for long..so got to keep him happy while he's here :). One of the first male Ruby-throated Hummingbirds we have had to our yard this spring :)...I saw two at a time yesterday..squabbling over the nectar and this gorgeous Azalea bush...I was surprised to see this guy sitting on the railing behind this bush...guarding it pretty closely :). I had a wonderful Mother's Day...spent some time with both my kids and my step-Mom, who is like a mother to me! Hope you all have a great day/night...my last day off...will catch up later..the sun is supposed to shine?!! Thanks for your visits!

Another Hawk I see flying over our place...it's different from the other one..hope someone can ID it for me..thanks! Hubby and I think it's a Cooper's Hawk???? Pretty sure this one had a successful strike the other night..another Dove...no wonder we don't have many any more with at least 2 hawks that we know of hanging around :(....hope you all have a great day/night..many thanks for your visits!

My cousin and his two grandfathers caught 2 good sized halibut today.....so I went and photographed their catch...so much fun...I need to do stuff like this more often? His boat is the black one...hope you all have a great day/night..thanks so much for your visits!

Going some when you live in an area where lupine grow wild and in the field next to you and you have to go buy a plant lol...will plant this in hopes of it coming up again next year...I planted some seeds a year or two ago, with no luck...back to work today...ugh....it's been a beautiful weekend for me...we have showers coming the end of the week...they are needed...just hope they don't go on and on lol...well..have a great day/night everyone! We found one set of Canada Geese with babies yesterday :) SO cute...this is a local boat landing and they were waddling down the ramp into the water, their little wings were just a flapping..made me smile for sure! This pair of Tree Swallows are going to take up residency in this house in our yard we think...sure wish the Eastern Bluebirds would at least show themselves...we haven't seen anything around the house we put up for them yet...no hummers yet...I think I saw a Yellow-rumped Warbler last evening...too far away to positively ID though...hope you all have a great day/night...thanks so much for your visits!
