It's the start of the holiday season so I thought I'd drop in and say hello to my friends!
I've been overwhelmed with all the warm wishes and prayers so many of you have sent me in your messages, in private and on my pics! There were so many, so I'm sorry I didn't reply to them.
I'm recovering well at home, but can't be online for long periods of time because of problems with my eyes. This is the reason I've not returned to flickr. I hope to do so when I'm fully recovered.
If you leave a comment I promise to get back to you, but unfortunately I can't view everyones uploads.
I hope you all have a great time with your loved ones.
It's snowing alot in many countries so please all be careful and safe in your travels!

The eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month marks the signing of the Armistice, on 11th November 1918, to signal the end of World War One.
At 11 am on 11 November 1918 the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years continuous warfare.
Many countries were involved in these wars and have been mentioned in history over the years. But I feel not much has been said about the men who fought for Great Britain who were not British.
Nearly 1 million Indian troops fought for the British Empire in Europe and Mesopotamia during the conflict.
But some veterans believe the role played by volunteers from India and the rest of the Empire in both world wars is relatively unknown.
In World War I alone, more than 50,000 Indians died fighting for Britain.
India later became India/Pakistan/Bangladesh. So men from all these coutries served in the wars.
Please note that this image has no connection to the wars of today. I have different feelings about them!

This is an outbuilding attached to the park keepers place in the park. We used go here as kids and scare each other with spooky stories.
It's very unkept now and looks so creepy, my son couldn't get away fast enough (he's 12).
I had another go at HDR. :0)

I love Swans so much. Took this pic last week at the docks. They had 3 Cygnets a few months back, and they are almost as big as them now!

It's been a long time since I played with water lol! The watch was not waterproof and is full of water now, but no worries, it didn't work anyway,and it wasnt expensive either. :0D

This little park leads to the river from my kids school, I walk through here all the time and it's lovely in the morning with squirrels and lovely birds.

This is HDR 'ish', I say 'ish' because it's one image copied twice, and then the exposure/colour/contrast changed on 2, and then merged in photomatix. A real HDR image would be with 3 seperate images taken with the camera.
I've not done this much, only twice before, so any tips and advice would be appreciated. I know some of you are experts at this, pardon my attempt! xx

Fishy Idea

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO FISH WAS HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS IMAGE!!
The fish is photoshopped into the bulb.
Getting the water into the bulb was hard, I almost cut my finger with the knife when I made an opening in the cap.
Can I just add that 'I KNOW' this has been done before, just like all the other thousands of pictures that get posted on flickr everyday, so please don't post links to other images like it on my image thankyou!
