Today I finished sewing the dress for Hitty. boy was it tricky working so small, especially the belt!

Next step will be adding handmade lace to the sleeves and neckline.

I finished the next step of my Hitty kit from Gail Wilson. I made a slip and pantaloons and then added a handmade lace that was tricky but worth how it turned out.

Now that I have finished my big embroidery order, I let myself take a little break and work on a doll kit from Gail Wilson to make a Hitty doll. I have loved Hitty since I read the book "Hitty: Her First 100 Years" back when I was about 10 years old

The hardest part of making her was painting her face. I do NOT consider myself very good at painting and I went slower than a snail while doing it! There is an antiquing glaze over the face, arms and legs to give her an aged look. I hope I didn't put too much on.
