Lately I've been seeing other people's images taken with either the same camera I use, or one very similar, and I can't help but notice that the overall quality of my images are not as high. I shoot on the "JPEG Fine" setting. If you look primarily at my face/body in this image, it's just grainy and unclear, and quite frankly it makes me sad. I know that sounds really stupid, but I don't know how else to put it. On other's images, the image quality is very high and beautiful and on mine it's just... blah. I asked about this on another website and had people tell me that I 'must not be an experienced photographer if you're asking about this', 'if you're experienced you would know this already,' etc. I am experienced, I've been shooting for almost four years, just not with a DSLR. The truth is I DON'T know all the settings on my camera as people seem to expect me to, especially since I've only had the camera for about two weeks. I'm just looking for some assistance. Every door in the building was locked and I was absolutely horrified. The threats have been continuous and there are rumors that something is going to happen tomorrow, and I won't be going to school. Even though the threats may be empty, it is still a fear of mine.
