The plumeria flowers are abundant on the Island of Maui and were a favorite of the girls to put into their hair and to wear as leis and wreaths. This little girl was waiting in line at the Luau and I just couldn't resist the picture.

This little hummingbird ran into our kitchen window. It was dazed for several minutes, but soon recovered and flapped into the wild blue yonder. You don't normally get to see them like this so close up.

We had a couple of going away parties for Stephen this weekend. We hung the American flag in the front and the Marine flag inside on the wall. We had a wonderful time with family and friends.

The recruiter picked him up at 4am this morning and drove him to the MEPS. Then on to San Diego to the MCRD. We are still waiting for his phone call. Lord willing, Yoshi will greet a new Marine in 13 weeks.

I snuck Yoshi aboard the airplane on my latest trip to Boston. He fit perfectly in the carry on. It was so nice to have a friend with me. There are benefits to having a small dog ;)

Thanks all for your faithful visits, comments, invites, faves and just all around support. I think my pic of the artist under the bridge was actually a more interesting one than this, but I'm sure I posted it to too many groups and it dropped out of interestingness favor.
