The old medieval bridge across the River Arno, my first try at sepia processing as seems to befit the ancient old bridge. Cropped across the length to include more detail, most of the shops on the bridge are jewellers, artists and metal workers. Also remember this as being a bitterly cold day -4!!. Taken in Florence Italy.

Diffcult to shoot bridges and get the whole thing in without distracting backgrounds. Use the water as the focus for this shot and planned on it being monochrome, but not very successful because of the whole areas of sky. Something to learn!

This 14 century bridge in Kirby Lonsdale in Cumbria UK is famous for people jumping off it. They call it tombstoning! A heavy rain day when i was there I wanted to try and capture the drama of the structure and so shot in Monochrome and high contrast. Got as low as I could and shot into the rain. Cropped slightly for composition.

Black Mountains Wales footbridge #dailyshoot

Taken on the descent from the route over Talgarth in the Black Mountains of Wales, this pic constructed itself with the river leadng up to the bridge and into the mountains beyond. Was disappointed with the overexposed sky but might return to this with photoshop to add in a better skyline.

Taken on a visit to the Tate Modern and my first time I had seen this bridge, known locally as the wobbly bridge because it did just that when it first opened. This gave an opportunity to photograph what is an iconic UK scene across the Thames. The cathedral is as magnificent as you would expect, and the lines of the bridge provide an ideal lead in for the viewer. I liked the construction of this pic.

Daily shoot theme was "a leading line"and wanted to try this shot for a long time. The reflection of the bridge and cathedral lead the eye from bottom to top. The river is the river Wye. Bridge constructed in 1490, and of course the cathedral from 900 AD. This is also the classic tourist shot of the city that you can see on all of the brochures and websites and I always thought I could do a better job! Just needed a tripod (again)

Bridge to the Rhinogs #dailyshoot #Snowdonia #Mawddach Estuary

The bridge leads from the old victorian railways station across the Mawddach Estuary to the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales UK. The marker bouys made this a good composition for a picture by providing focus onto the water. The hills in the distance are called the Rhinogs, a great place to go walking. Image composed for rule of thirds and cropped slightly.
