This evening I met up with a group in Dallas to do a model shoot. Ashley was a great model as you can see, and was very patient with us guys who don't know Dallas well try to figure out where to shoot. Once the sun went down, We had some fun with strobes, particularly because no one had any lighting stands, although I brought an umbrella and strobes just in case. We ended up taking turns holding the strobes and using my wireless trigger, which I was more than happy to lend out.

I was driving by City Hall on my way home from band rehearsal and saw this fountain that I pass by all the time. Something just told me to stop and snap some shots. I'm glad I did.

Rig Steak House

3:365 Jan 3. Today, I had to pick up my wife at the Rig Steak House because her car broke down. While this isn't the Rig's sign, it is taken from the Rig's parking lot. I just liked the color and the clouds.

This photo was taken for a worth1000 contest. The object of the contest is to take a photo of a subject using only candles as a lighting source. I used a single candle placed inside the lantern as my light source, and wore a sheet as a cloak.

I love this photo because it portrays a certain kind of sadness.

These are not Aurora Borealis. They are actually clouds passing in front of Orion. I achieved the effect with a 20 second exposure. I got pretty lucky too as these were the only clouds in the sky at the time.

I really love the multiple contrasts in this photo. Light and dark, wet and dry, artificial and natural, color and white are all shown. Plus, the tunnel acts as a frame for the scene on the other side.
