aka Congratulations Diana!!!!!

This cake was done for a wonderful woman (and her hubby too... LOL). Diana is a wedding planner and she has sent me some of my most favorite clients. She makes sure every detail is taken care of and is a dream to work with.

So when she came to me with the news and her request for a simple 2 tiered ivory cake to stay on budget I let it be known that in NO way would she be settling for a simple cake. I designed this cake for her to incorporate details from her wedding. The piping pattern is from her invites, the flowers match the arrangements, and the swag on the concave tier matches the back of her dress.

This weekend's cake done for the wife of one of my hubby's co-workers. Fondant covered with royal icing damask stencil. The rose and bow are made of gumpaste and the kitty is fondant with CMC.

My husband called and asked if I could make something for one of his coworkers... "He said she loves blue and yellow and jut wants something simple". Well simple and I don't get along, so this is what I came up with.

Ugh... I made this last night and left it hanging on my bendy lamp thing like I usually do only to come down this morning to see the lamp had collapsed and the rose was underneath it. Four petals broke off and one was a little flattened... *insert crying here*. But I gathered up my over-tired self and re-made the petals that broke and all was well in gumpaste flower land.

For a bridal shower...

Cake decor is all fondant and the rose and ivy are made of gumpaste.
