This library was designated the “Edward Lewis Sturtevant Library” in honor of the man who as farmer, physician, botanist and author, was one of the giants of his time in the science of agriculture. He was for a number of years a Trustee of the Town Library. His farm, famous as the “Waushakum Farm” and the present Memorial School stands on part of this land.
