I love this new jacket. It's almost instant gratification, and it's simple style is great for throw and go on weekends, plus it's super nice and warm. Only fall back is that Big Wool pills quite easily.

Pattern: Beth, Kim Hargreaves' A Winter Gathering
Yarn: 7 balls of Rowan Big Wool, #25 Wild Berry. (I ran out of yarn and is short of 2 rows for the neck band but I just left it as it is)
Needles: 12mm circulars bought in Mongkok

Finally! Done after too-many-months to-count but all well-worth the effort! I so love Kim Hargreaves designs but the finishing really kills.

Pattern: Flo from Thrown Together, by Kim Hargreaves
Yarn: 8 balls Rowan 4 ply soft (#392 - Sandalwood); 1 ball Rowan Kid Silk Haze (#590 - Pearl)
Needles: Japanese #4 (3.3mm) and #3 (3mm)

I sewed all the pieces I have on hand during the weekend instead of waiting for a whole sewing party at the end, I prefer to steam block and sew some as I go. Here's a peek at the inside of the garment.

Yes, still. It is in 4 ply yarn nevertheless. Sleeve cap and one more frill to go.

These are the 2 sets of buttons that I have in stash that are at 10 of, as called by the pattern. I'm quite sure I'll go for the small pearly ones. Do you think so too?

I dug out this WIP started I-don't-know-when. The parts are at various stages of progress, can you stand it?

Partly knitted, partly sewn. Cuff half done, some ruffles completed and I just couldn't wait to see how they would look so I just sewn them on first....

Yes, I knit in such a disorganized manner. Sometimes even I wonder how I can get the knits completed but amazingly they do get done :)

In the heat of summer, my husband finally received his chunky cardigan.

The yarn is a tweedy cashmere blend from China. The pattern is Morris from Rowan 34 and also available free on the Rowan website.

There was supposed to be 7 buttons as called for but there were only in the lys, the sales lady even had to cut the last one from the sample board.
