Managed to dive into the garden in between rain showers - phew

Just been watching the news about the Bomb in Oslo - WOW - that must have been some huge explosion! So sorry for those people, must have been way to scary

Continuing on my journey of discovery with the Canon S95 P&S took me down the macro route.

I thought it handles it quite well :D

OK the bokeh is not dreamy and lush, but it works - it is also quite sharp as you can see from this image.

Pink and Green should never be seen ...

Hi yawl - sorry for the radio silence over the last few days.

My Dad has been in hospital after suffering a mild heart attack - hopefully having his Angiogram today :D

Took some time out to take a stroll around Ludwell Valley Park in Exeter. Very hilly and very windy

We all went to Pixie Land over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Now call me wrong, but I could swear these Pixies look more like ... Gnomes??

Hmm - well if you want to check out Gnome Land, sorry I mean Pixie Land - it's near Dartmeet, Dartmoor, Devon :D

Anyhow - spotted the flower above and had a go with the 50mm @ f1.8. Thought it came out all right, maybe a little soft - as per usual I have no idea what it is :P

It gets about 30 minutes of sun in the morning where it's transformed into a magical place before turning back into a dingy front garden

I've been doing a few weddings lately with more booked - much though I love my D80 - D90 combo the D80 just couldn't quite cut the mustard at the last one.

I'm thinking an upgrade :-/

It's gonna have to be between the D300s or the D700

I know one is much more and is full frame - I only have a 50mm f1.4 that is an FX lens - but I rent 70-200mm f2.8 and the 240-70mm f2.8 when I do my weddings so the D700 would have a use.

I'm saving frantically and selling anything that doesn't move to find the project.

Any thoughts/advice on whether to go D300s or D700??
