Been playing quietly by myself since I got home from Florida. Being home for the first time in a year gave me a lot of perspective on my life in New York. I get too caught up in my business up here and forget about why I came in the first place. So I'm returning to the basics. Calming down a bit if you will. and this photo reflects that, spent the whole day in the Studio by myself today composing it.

So this is the first image I've used in a project EVER that wasn't of myself. Be it 52 week, or 365. I'm pretty proud of this one. And I thank my friend Freddie for getting out in the freezing cold, and risking the Flu, or worse, for this to happen.

So today I set out to have a chill day in Bushwick with Natalie. We walked around the neighborhood a bit and went apartment shopping for me (I'm moving, hopefully to a bushwick loft) and then set back to her apartment where I found a gramophone... And could not resist. So there you have it. My first face plant photo. Aided / Glowyfied by Natalie Kucken.... Bitches

There was a time when I posted on flickr Daily. I miss that, I used to do 365's every once in a while but never got through one fully because I never had the time. always too busy. And now that i'm in NYC things are no different, I have less time than ever before. But I have to begin a new photo project, I need something to motivate me to shoot things other than product & fashion, so I'm starting a 52 week project.

I've set no real rules for myself other than the ones adopted from when I did 365's with few changes. The photos don't always have to be me, this will not be purely a self portrait project, simply a photographic one. I honestly don't know how long this will last, but I hope I'll be able to get through it, I need all your support to do that.

This photo came to me when I was home in Orlando Florida with my old mentor taking some photos. I love old silhouette drawings, and had seen a movie the day before with a character who drew them so I though I might put on a scene using some silhouetted figures, which resulted in the image you see here. I'll be posting a breakdown of the layers and things later on my blog.

Now, I've just stepped off a plane here in NYC not 40 minutes ago so It's time for some rest on my part.
