The Jurong Bird Park is located at some distance from the regular tourists attractions in Singapore, but the park is really worth a visit. There are a large number of birds, but it is not only the birds but the overall green area that is incredible. I saw these beautiful purple flowers. The Jurong Bird Park is one of the largest such bird parks in the world, setup in the year 1971. It is the largest such park in terms of the number of birds, and occupies an area of around 50 acres. It is located on the slope of Juron Hill and is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore. There are a number of shows inside the park that provide people with a chance to get closer to birds (even though they do not get a chance to touch them), and in a exhibit, one can even get a photo taken with colorful birds right next to the person.

Some very beautiful yellow and orange flowers inside the National Orchid Garden in Singapore. These are small flowers, dotted with a more red like color. The National Orchid Garden is a garden boasting of an incredible collection of beautiful orchids, located within the premises of the Botanical Garden in Singapore. The garden was created in the year 1995, inaugrated by the Prime Minister. The Orchid Garden boasts of orchids of a total of 400 species and 2000 hybrids, with a total of about 60,000 flowers. There is a separate fee to enter the Orchid Gardens. Some of the attractions inside the garden include the following:
Misthouse: This is a controlled section of the garden with some beautiful orchids inside.
Coolhouse: The coolhouse is a section of the garden displaying plants belonging to the tropical highlands, with one of the interesting specimens being the pitcher plant (a meat eating plant)
VIP Orchid Garden: Includes hybrids of some of the VIP orchids on display (orchids named after important political personalities).

The fully open petals of a red rose. This rose had flowered a few days back, and hence the petals were on the verge of drying out and getting removed from the plant.

There are all types of flowers and all types of sizes, with some flowers being a bit larger than others. These are flowers that we found in the Garden of 5 Senses (don’t remember the name of the exact variety), but the petals were large and very white. The same flowers were also present in the garden in other colors, notably purple and deep red shades.
