Seyo_001

i.materialise posted a photo:

Seyo_001 is my first foray into graffiti art taken from a two dimensional design into three dimensional sculptural form. The genre has a long and celebrated tradition of using perspective as a visual theme. The letterforms become architectural, yet capture the feeling of dynamic movement which is an essential component in graffiti art.

The design was sketched out by hand, then the letterforms were designed in Illustrator. They were brought into C4D r12 and modeled, and exported as an .obj for output by i.materialise.com, who helped me in refining the technical aspects of the model (wall thicknesses!) for production in polyamide. Future designs will be executed in metal.

3D printing from SketchUp just got a little easier. Normally, printing SketchUp models involves file conversion, scale conversion and quite a bit of checking for mysterious things like "watertightness".

But we've created a plugin to make the SketchUp-to-object printing process easier than ever:
i.materialise.com/Tool/CreateYourArchitecturalModel

Villa

i.materialise posted a photo:

3D printing from SketchUp just got a little easier. Normally, printing SketchUp models involves file conversion, scale conversion and quite a bit of checking for mysterious things like "watertightness".

But we've created a plugin to make the SketchUp-to-object printing process easier than ever:
i.materialise.com/Tool/CreateYourArchitecturalModel
