Freightliner Class 47 number 47290 passes through Sutton Park at Streetly Gate foot crossing on 17.06.98 on the 4O27 Coatbridge to Southampton Liner. This once forgotten about line has seen some investment in recent years and now looks like a cared for railway rather than an herb garden that it does at this time.

Dutch liveried 31163 passes through Streetly Gate on the Sutton Park line on 17.06.98 returning BDA steel empties from Burton on Trent to Bescot.

37670 & 37401 struggle on 6P03

Dug out an old hellfire video that I grabbed of 37670 in DB Shenker livery and 37401 in EWS livery when they worked 6P03 Hamstead to Bescot on 30.08.09, seen at Streetly Gate foot crossing in Sutton Park. They came down to Bescot from Warrington to work this one posession train. They were split up at Bescot and went back north but rejoined the following week to work the last Bristol Weymouth diagram and were both withdrawn soon after. This here however was the last freight they worked together as I recall.

This Mobile Exhibition National GAU 728L used to turn up everywhere, and still does, which is nice:). It was carrying wording and info about the Midland Metro, which was still around 7 years away in the future at this time. Outer Circle Rally, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham on 15.09.91.

WMBuses Acocks Green Fleetline 6690 WDA 690T is seen in Corporation Street, Birmingham on 20.06.95 on service 6 to Solihull, which was a Yardley Wood route. It soon after moved to West Bromwich Garage but it was withdrawn before I bagged a shot of it.

West Midlands Travel Fleetline 6634 SDA 634S had already been withdrawn when seen in Wolverhampton Bus Station on service 531 to Rocket Pool on 23.11.96. It would however return for further service in 1997 looking a little bit worse than it does here. It was previously at West Bromwich Garage.

The Bescot to Longport Connectrail service was still booked for an RfD Class 47 until EWS eventually took over RfD. Early on 27.12.97 47095 approaches Fowlers Park foot crossing as the sun comes up.

Ten minutes at Streetly Gate on the Sutton Park line on 17.06.98. 37890 'The Railway Observer' on 6M83 Doncaster to Bescot, 58036 on a rake of Seacows, 37065 on an engineers trip of Rudds/ Clams and Coalfish and 37074 on 6G67 Washwood Heath to Bescot. All Mainline blue liveried except 37890 which is Mainline branded, all owned by EWS.

I have previously posted the photo of 37065.

It was the turn of Perry Barr Fleetline 6667 WDA 667T to help cover Wolverhampton Park and Ride services on 09.12.95. Seen in the blach December shadows entering Wolverhampton Bus Station on Pendeford circular service 504.

Regional Railways liveried 31465 and Dutch liveried 31203 pass East View Road on the Sutton Park line on 27.01.99 on the Bescot to Washwood Heath concrete sleeper trip. This was the last time that I personally saw a pair of class 31s working off Bescot. The remaining survivors at the time with EWS transferred south to work off Hither Green and Hoo Junction.

Mainline blue liveried 37065, but owned by EWS, heads through a leafy Sutton Park on 17.06.98 with an engineers trip for Bescot. Seen at Streetly Gate foot crossing. 37065 had this end rebuilt after collision damage, the other end retaining its split boxes.
