The recent tragic events in Boston caused me to reflect on my experience at the Great Race. Qualifying for and running the 112th Boston Marathon in 2008 was an achievement that made me proud. Getting to the finish line took so much preparation, sacrifice, and support from my wife. After running 26.2 miles, I was overwhelmed with emotions upon seeing the finish line on Boylston Street. I only have good memories from my experience. Now, the Boston Marathon will bring about bittersweet thoughts. Today, I will RUN FOR BOSTON.

Compelling wildlife photography starts and ends in a dimly lit corner of our living room. Critters that scurry about in the wild do NOT want to be photographed at the moment. However, our Big Buster Cat doesn't shy away from my lens.

A little yellow bird was kind enough to land long enough for a picture. A 105mm lens is hardly enough to effectively photograph birds, but you get lucky every so often.
