One of the wilder looking customs at the 3rd Bendigo rod stock & custom show. This 49 Ford started it's life as an ambulance, and after a wild chop, paint and souped up V8. It's now known as the Ambo-Sled.

This 49 Mercury has the number plate "ALOACT" which is quite fitting for how low it is when parked. Of course it isn't this low all the time. When the car is started up the airbag suspension brings it up to it's proper ride height. Possibly the best Mercury in Melbourne.

The cool thing about having airbag suspension, is that you can literally drop the vehicle onto the ground when stationary!
The vehicle usually rests on titanium blocks so as to not allow damage to the chassis or body.
Our Oldsmobile will be having the same setup.
