I have taken so many pictures of birds lately that when this theme came up today I decided to look for something different. I found this lovely statue at the front of the roof of a canal barge.

On Harbor Drive, San Diego, alongside the USS Midway Aircarft Carrier Museum there is a small park dedicated to "The Greatest Generation". There are at least 6 beautiful art work memorials honoring those that fought and dedicated their lives to our freedom, particuarly in WWII. I have captured a few of them for today's theme. This one depicts the iconic photograph of the sailor kissing the nurse in New York at the end of WWII. I have processed it in Black and White to better represent the original photo.
