At RIAT Fairford Airshow 2012, A very different take on the B-52 bomber at RIAT Fairford, I think these aircraft can take a high level of processing an it doesn't detract any from the impact of the shot. Well the idea is really to have more of an impact

I had fun with this shot so hopefully you will enjoy, 2 sets of 7 bracketed exposures, stitched together to get it all in, processed in Photomatix, in LR full B&W and then spiced it up with highlights, grad filter on the bottom and shadows and contrast around about.

Take a view on black if you fancy.

The USAF B-52 'Stratofortress' is an aircraft that has become synonymous with RAF Fairford having been based here during the first Gulf War in 1991, the Kosovo conflict in 1999 and the 'second' Gulf War in 2003.

The aircraft, which was on static display, came from 307 Bomber Wing, Air Force Reserve Command based at Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana.
