I shot this image with my Zeiss Ikon Twin Lens Camera about 12 years ago. It was right before my grandfather died. He went blind and had diabetes. I found the negative recently and scanned it with my Epson 4870 and made a 8 in x 8 in print on my hp Photosmart B9180 matted and framed it and gave it to her for christmas. She just about cried then made a joke about what she was wearing - classic Aguilera comment.

Shot on 8 year old expired film with my Polaroid 600 SE. No manipulation in digital file except for a tiny RGB S shaped Curve. Color is accurate to capture - scanned on a Epson Perfection 4870 Scanner.

This is a dirty Polaroid because well sometimes I just don't have the patience to retouch. I also like the scratches and dust an old image has as it adds memory and character. This image is of a good dear friend of ours named Scott. Scott is a landscape fine art photographer who shoots a 16x20 camera and prints platinum palladium.

Go into a very dark room on a bright day. Make a small hole in a window cover and look at the opposite wall. What do you see? Magic! There in full color and movement will be the world outside the window — upside down! This magic is explained by a simple law of the physical world. Light travels in a straight line and when some of the rays reflected from a bright subject pass through a small hole in thin material they do not scatter but cross and reform as an upside down image on a flat surface held parallel to the hole. This law of optics was known in ancient times.

Lucas and I were passing by our local Vespa shop (on behalf of a friend) and
the nice man working there, Jyson, insisted that Lucas get to sit on the
Vespa Lucas kept pointing at. He kept saying, "Lucas drive". Of course it
was the one time I didn't have my diaper bag, equipped with camera. Much to
my suprise a nice woman named Suzanne, a friend of Jyson's, popped in to say
hi and happened to have her high end digital camera around her neck. Being a
mom herself, she offered to take Lucas' picture and e-mail it to me! Here is
the result! (Nice of her, don't ya think?) Lucas loved it! Jyson turned on
the engine and let it vibrate a bit, let him play with the horn and lights.
"Luc's drive. Luc's drive, mom." He was pretty cute! Anyway, just thought
you'ld like to see it, and the work of some very kind people during an
average errand.

Here is a photo I shot of my best friend Troy. He has a bald head and a love for chicken, cheese, and sour cream. O yea, he also loves music as much as I do and can play a good game of disc golf. I shot this on a road trip to Vegas where we visited a photographic trade-show called PMA two years ago. I love you bud and look forward to many more memories of laughter, cynicism, and overall goofiness.
