Half Dead

Michael Tuuk posted a photo:

I took a photography workshop this weekend and was out on our afternoon "assignment". The rules:

(1) Use your widest lens -- 10-20mm in my case
(2) NO headshots or plain-old portraits -- if you're shooting people make them
environmental shots.
(3) NO edits allowed -- images presented for critique in front of the class had to
come straight from the camera w/o adjustment or cropping.

We were shooting along South Congress that afternoon and I approached this guy and asked if I could photograph him. He graciously agreed and ended up being a great model. You can't really tell from this shot but he is the spitting image of a younger Ed Harris -- really strong facial features, very tough-looking. This is one of the shots that the instructor picked as a keeper out of the 25-ish we were told to submit.

The "half dead" reminds me of Billy Crystal's line in Princess Bride..."he's *mostly* dead".
