Attingham Park & House

Attingham Park and House is a National Trust property located near Shrewsbury. It's a great place to visit in late April for leaf burst and bluebells. There is also a deer park through which you can walk and although they may not be close, you are almost sure to spot some.
Shot with an ND grad and polarizer.

Note: In the past I may have suggested that Attingham house was not one of the best National Trust properties, though I have always enjoyed visiting the grounds, the house was laking. I've changed my mind. In recent years the Trust have carried out enormous amounts of work, opened additional rooms and new catering facilities. The house is also manned by an excellent team of knowledgeable volunteers always willing to help with enquiries. Definitely worth a visit now!

More test shots from the Fuji X-S1. Very minor adjustment to levels and a little selective sharpening, otherwise out of the camera JPEGs.

All hand held. At low ISOs I turn noise reduction off and sharpening to HARD and I'm finding this gives the best results.

Bluebells are of course not a true blue, but delicate purple/blue difficult to get just right in a photo.
Shot on May 19th in my local beach woods near Mold they are almost at their best.
