This is my second entry for Gallery Idol. For this card I stamped the balloon and sentiment on vellum. Next I adhered sequins behind the balloon only. I then adhered the vellum to a piece of patterned paper. TFL!

Anything Nautical is the theme over on the Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge blog this week. For the sailboat I die-cut the sails from Crinoline and stamped 2013 on one. Next I cut the boat, flag and star from a variety of paper scraps. I then pieced everything together and added some gold metal studs for the portholes. TFL!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for a Paper Crafts call, this was my first time submitting to a magazine. It was not chosen but I plan on challenging myself again!

This card started with the patterned paper. I used the side with the circles for the background and the stamped images. For the planet in the lower right hand corner I used the grid side. To color the images I used distress ink and a little water. TFL!

This month's theme on the Hero Arts Blog is Bring on the Bling. I colored the chipboard window with Fired Brick Distress Ink and then sprayed it with Perfect Pearls Mist to create a frosty look. Used my McGill Pine Branch Punch to create the tiny wreath and then added some HA Red Gemstones. The sentiment is from a HA set called Snow Much Joy. I wish you could see how the gemstones twinkle in the light! TFL!

Used Doodlebug Design alphabet stickers for the letter to Santa. Stamped the reindeer from a Paper Smooches set called Santa Paws and colored him with Prismacolor pencils. TFL!

One of the options for the Hero Arts September Challenge is to use a seasonal/holiday stamp in a way other than its intended use. First thing that popped into my head was to create a Halloween card with the Car With Tree stamp, one of my favorites. TFL!

When I saw this image on the Moxie Fab World Blog I was inspired by the diagonal lines, www.moxiefabworld.com/search/label/Tuesday%20Trigger. For the balloons I made my own stencil with my Martha Stewart Balloon Punch, used a variety of VersaMagic Chalk Ink and Doodlebug Design Twine. The sentiment is from a Paper Smooches set called Sentiment Sampler. TFL!

For this card I used a stamp set from Hero Arts-Sizzix called Garden Flowers. I had to get this set, love the images, even though I don't own a die-cut machine! Paper pieced the flower and added some decorative tape for the sentiment. TFL!

I used a stamp set from Paper Smooches called A Little Lovin to create this card. There are so many cute images in this set, perfect for paper piecing. Used green string for the carrot tops and a stencil for the clouds. TFL!

I got the idea for this card when I saw some Fancy Pants Paper with little surfboards on it. I cut out one of the boards and thought it worked perfectly with the car from the Car With Tree stamp by Hero Arts. The wheels are Black Buttons with Silver Metallic Decor for the hubcaps. TFL!

The technique for this month's Hero Arts contest is to create a shaped card. I started with a standard A2 card and an idea. It took a few try's but I finally got the look that I wanted for the roof of the house. It's hard to see but the white card has a embossed vertical pattern on it. TFL!
