oh boy, mama was not happy with me as I snapped a few shots of her little grazer. the chick didn't seem to mind though so i ignored her.

i did, however, find myself wondering how the mama would look on my grill with some fresh vegetables beside her and a glass of red wine in my hand.

it's true. that's how my brain functions..i can't help it. (well maybe i could but i don't wanna).

I picked about half the fruit off of one of my cherry trees yesterday...I can see homemade cherry pie and ice cream in my very near future.

We have a thing called the Mushroom Mardi Gras here every year and I always look forward to the bbq'ed oysters...butter, garlic, cilantro and a few shots of hot sauce. Simple and SO delicious. Son #3 agrees!

I don't know if they actually eat this pizza in Hawaii but the pizza joints around here have been making these and calling them 'Hawaiin' because they have pineapple on them.

My 15 year old son tried this pizza one night and came home raving about it. I didn't think it sounded so good..boy was I wrong. Now I'm hooked..so much so that I had to duplicate the pizza..well worth the effort!

the fact that they have to put signs like that up makes me wonder how we were ever able to populate the planet. and it's sad, really, that we try so hard to protect those that nature would eliminate through natural selection.
