Happy Jazz Club named Storyville in Helsinki, probably the best known jazz venue in the city.

It has been the coldest day so far for me in Helsinki as the temperature reached -15°C. But from the freezing outside Storyville looked like a warm and cozy place. So I set up my tripod accross the street and captured the moment...

This HDR image is made of RAW originals, from -2 to +2 EV.

This simply adorable little blue house stands on the southeast corner of Senate Square, and can easily be recognised by its colour. This is Sederholm house, a branch of the Helsinki City Museum today. Dating from 1757, it is the oldest building in the city centre, and the oldest stone building in the whole of Helsinki.

I made this HDR version from 5 RAWs, each with different exposure. This really brought up the sky and more details to the side of the house. All together, it made it look like some imaginative house from an old Finnish story... :)

Between two light cubes, a distant view to Lauttasaari district of Helsinki. These light cubes are next to High Tech Center (HTC) buildings and are made of glass walls, but the glass is broken into little pieces. Nice!

To give it a bit more effective look, HDR post processing was done with 5 differently exposed images.

These colourful light cubes are situated next to High Tech Center (HTC) in Ruoholahti district of Helsinki. Pretty nice effect they give when it's twilight time. In the distance you can also see Lauttasaari district of Helsinki.

To give it a little more interesting look, I've manipulated with HDR post processing using 5 RAWs.

Pitkäsilta three-arched granite bridge in Helsinki is crossing the Kaisaniemi Bay and connecting Kaisaniemi and Siltasaari. The construction was finished in 1912.
The war bullet marks from 1918. are still very much visible.

Pitkäsilta three-arched granite bridge in Helsinki is crossing the Kaisaniemi Bay and connecting Kaisaniemi and Siltasaari (also it is called 'the Long Bridge'). It was built in 1910.-1912. The bullet marks from the Civil War are still very much visible.

Entrance to the parliament shot from side. I love how pillars have slightly different colors in night time when there was only me there :)

Kallio Church is situated in Kallio district of Helsinki and visible from almost every part of the city. It was being built from 1908-1912.

I used a set of images with different shutter speeds and then made this HDR picture.

The famous music venue in Helsinki. Mostly rock, metal and similar music. Cool thing is this big crane next to the building, gives it industiral look.

I used a set of images with different exposure levels and then made this HDR picture.

Näsinneula Tower in Tampere. It was opened in 1971. and is located in the Särkänniemi leisure centre. The highest peak is 168 meter high.

There is a revolving restaurant in the tower 124 metres above the ground. One revolution takes 45 minutes. The Design of Näsinneula was inspired by the Space Needle in Seattle.

Tower has the fastest public elevators in Finland.
