Some fun with a new South by Southwest concept this year called The New Aesthetic. My brother, who is VP for Sony/Epic Music, goes there to sign artists....it is such a HUGE venue for music, but they also have a lot of interesting conferences on conceptual imagery and technology trends. It would be my dream to go there and meet with him one year---each in our own special artistic worlds. This is my original take on the new genre of worlds colliding. Having a lot of fun with these! :) Please do not copy.

The time has come for (drumroll)...."ME time". Well, at least a little bit of it. All 4 kids are at school in the mornings this year (4 days a week), which is HUGE for me...just HUGE! For the last 13 years I've had someone under my care 24/7. SO....a little nap, computer time, shooting, editing....shopping?! It all sounds great!!! I've been craving a bit of freedom and it is FINALLLY here...at long last! (But, I'll most likely use it to clean up the house and do laundry, lol!).

I took these shots the day we colored Easter eggs. I usually don't buy this many eggs at once because I know that I'll end up breaking some. Well of course when I got home one was broken. It looked like a sad little egg without eyes! I popped some craft eyes on him and we all had a good laugh :) I couldn't believe how perfectly he looked like a sad egg!!

Meet Fruity Fred. I tell you....what we won't do to get our children to try new foods! The red currants and kiwi are foods that I'm now trying to get my 2 year old to eat. They are SOUR and he makes the sour face perfectly! I THINK I've converted him after meeting Fred though---thanks Fred :)

The sign says slow down..but WHO? The kids or the cars? Look at those kids---they are truckin' out of school at a high speed and don't appear to be paying much attention at all! Seriously though...the drivers often speed around the school, but it looks like the sign is for the kids to slow down, lol! I sure wish mine would!!!

This cracks me up and will definately make it into my "Simply Life" folder because it is something I always want to remember. My kids always run out of the house in their socks. Am I the only one with a wild child? LOL! This makes me smile. How fun to be so carefree!!! (I was literally on my back for this shot looking up with the 70-200. Pretty fun to capture from that angle actually, although the neighbors probabally think I was looney singing "Row Row Row Your Boat" along with her while lying on the ground with my great white lens...Good times!!!).

LOL! I tortured him this afternoon with the sunglasses---but he actually liked them!!!! This one made me laugh how they are falling off his tiny head. He had a vet visit this week and he is officially 2 kg now! (4 1/2 pounds)

Frozen computers...my mac is driving me crazy---the spining beach ball of ice. At least it inspired me for this shot :) (BTW folks, I put an already dead computer in the freezer...don't try this at home, lol.)

Lol, yes I am a very silly Mom, but my little 2 year old actually tried the melon because it was Wanda's smile, lol. He isn't very "difersified" in his tastes yet, but thankfully he is starting to try new foods! Silly silly silly, but fun! :)
