This afternoon at 12:35pm, Peel Police responded to a call for a male on a dirt bike that was struck by a flat-bed style tow truck. The crash occurred at the intersection of Atwater and Northmount Aves. The motorcyclist was taken to the trauma centre at St. Michaels Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. House fire on Drysdale Dr. (1 of 4 photos)

On Monday February 18th 2013 at approx. 7:30pm, Mississauga Fire responded to a house fire at 883 Drysdale Dr. near Mavis and Brittania Rd. Firefighters found flames and heavy black smoke when they arrived and immediately requested the help of a second station.
The fire started in the kitchen and spread very quickly. The homeowners and their 2 sons escaped without injury.
One fire fighter was taken to Credit Valley Hospital with burns to his shoulder from the intense heat.

Mississauga Fire responded to a fire call at the Mississuaga Gate Inn located at 1930 Dundas St East on Thursday January 17th 2013. One unit was destroyed by the fire, and adjoining rooms had smoke damage.

Taking Flight

As I responded to the scene of a vehicle roll-over earlier today, I spotted this Red-Tailed Hawk sitting in a nearby tree. As I parked my truck, I only had about to seconds to get a shot of him before he took off. With good timing and a little luck, I was able to pull off this shot :)

Oh deer! I enjoyed a great photo walk with friend, Pucnut1, www.flickr.com/photos/43709187@N08/ this morning. I showed him one of my secret spots to find deer. When we arrived, there were no deer to be found. As we were just about to leave, I spotted a deer laying down on the leaf-covered ground. "Stop, there's a deer! Wait, there's a whole bunch of them". What a treat it was to find 7 of them there, all together enjoying the mild December weather.

Pedestrian Struck on Dundas St.

Sunday December 9, 2012 - At a approx 1:45pm, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Dundas St. near Haines Rd. All eastboound lanes were shut down for almost 2 hour. Extent of injuries are unknown but not life threatening.

Wow...what a fire!
Tonight at approx 5:30pm, Mississauga Fire responded to a vehicle fire at the intersection of Cawthra & Bloor. There were several explosions from the van. It appeared to me that there was some sort of explosive chemical in the van (see top right photo). A large section of Cawthra Rd remained closed until 8pm

Last night at approx 9:15 there was a fatal crash in the westbound lanes of Hwy 403, just west of Mavis Rd. The black car crashed into a pick-up truck and both vehicles then crashed into a large cube van. Construction workers were reportedly in the back of the pick up at the time of the crash. They were thrown from the vehicle and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the black vehicle was extricated by fire fighters and later died from her injuries.
