Balls of Sunshine - by Yasmin de light

Balls of sunshine in my garden - what a lovely surprise
How did they ever get here, one might like to theorize
Has the sun transformed itself to come down and stay a while
And to play and delight with nature like a parent with its miracle child
Balls of golden sunshine - full of sweetness, marshmallow and light
A place for birds and butterflies to skip and dance their way delight
For passers by to stop and smile, and dearly admire
and awaken from deep within, their childhood forgotten fire
The fire of joy, play and wonder and rapturous glee
with hearts, so warm and sweet and tender exhilarated and free.
Balls of sunshine in my garden - a wonderful gift from the skies
Always a welcome sight to see and magic for our eyes.

Re this photo - I was quite delighted to find this Spring blossom Pom Pom dancer doing her moves on the middle branch lol. She wasn't obvious to me when I first took the shot - and I only noticed her when I looked at the photo later on. Looks like she is also very happy about Spring. I hope you can see her too but if not it might help to direct your mouse/pointer/cursor onto this photo where I have outlined her shape.

Hello dear flickr friends - Many thanks for your lovely comments and for sharing the spring happiness through my photos. I know the warm days have been intermittent in the UK - but hopefully still going in the right direction. I hope you are having and enjoyable weekend.

The Sun kissed Miss Daffodil today.
How did you know, well, you might say

Perhaps it's her star-like smile that glows.
Her cheery mood and exuberant pose,
The distractedly dreamy look in her eyes,
Dancing in the breeze like butterflies.

What can all of this signify?
To most this mood may mystify.
But to me its plainly clear, so clear -
It’s the work of Mr Sun sincere,
His golden amber presence from above,
Seems to set the world with cheeriness aglow.

For Miss Daffodil this has had a special effect
Of flamboyant behaviour that some might object
To wearing her perfume of sweet fragrance -
Creating for Mr Sun a special mood-ambience
Her spring emerald dress to completely enchant,
Her bright orange lipstick to captivate and entrance.
And with her coy expression like a blushing bride,
In the soft breeze she seems to glide and glide.

What is the purpose of this bewildering act?
Some of you seeing might try to exact,
Is this her show of admiration, liberation -
Or some mazy, crazy love declaration?

Who can really tell for sure, for sure?
Or if for this, there is a cure.
One thing that is really for certain -
there's not a sufficient or deep enough curtain
To shade or conceal the magic sight,
Of Mr Sun's kisses so bright, so bright!
And that is why I have to say
The Sun kissed Miss Daffodil today.
