For the past few years we always wanted to go to Bolinas, but never quite made it. Today, a warm January day (~20°C) was the perfect day to drive there. Days before we used Google Street View to locate a place for our picnic and found a lonely bench at the end of a quiet street. Nothing was there, just the bench and the Ocean.

In den letzten Jahren wollten wir schon immer einmal nach Bolinas fahren. Ein kleiner Ort, der dafür bekannt ist, dass die Einwohner die Strassenschilder abschrauben, damit nicht zu viele Touristen ihn finden. Heute, ein sonniger Samstag (~20°C) im Januar, war perfekt. Wir hatten vorher mittels Google Street View einen Platz gefunden der am Ende einer Strasse lag und durch eine einzelne Bank gekennzeichnet war. Ansonsten nix. Nur Platz für unsere VW's und der Pazifik.

It's not completely done yet - but most of the area around the back seats is restored. Especially the lower part where the heater vents will be is not quite finalized yet - but I'll plan to get this done in the next week or two. Check out the photo in the comments to see how it looked like a few weeks ago.

After several weeks of VW Bus interior restoration we got most of the things completed. Even the kitchen sink and the faucet (using a 12V water pump) is working again.

Nach vielen Wochen Restauration sind wir (und der Bus) fast fertig. Sogar die Kuechenspiele und der Wasserhahn welcher mit einer 12 V Wasserpumpe betrieben wird, laesst das Wasser sprudeln!
