Earlier this year the municipality declared war on the Giant Hogweed. The plant have spread all over Tungelsta. The plan was to remove it before it bloomed. That didn't really work out I think. Took a walk in the summer sunshine today and noticed the plant all over the place. In the background here you can see the old station house and the commuter train.

Met up with Sara for a few photos today. Last time I photographed her she told me a secret. The secret was born last August and goes under the name Levi. I met both Levi and his dad yesterday. One or more photos of Sara a little later.

The Mayor of Haninge Martina Mossberg had a fun job at the Midsummer celebrations. She was handing out free strawberries. Here she is with Mikael Vinsa and fellow politician Raymond Svensson.

Smack in the middle of Handen you will find this little pearl. Not sure that anyone lives here these days, which is a shame. Very central, only a two minute walk from the hospital, and maybe five minutes away from two shopping centers.

Around 1500 people celebrated Midsummer at the Höglunda park in Jordbro. It is a big park near the shopping centre and only a short walk from the commuter station. There are a few grassy hills here and they were packed with people. There's also a public swimming pool nearby, and it was a good day for playing in the pool as well as dancing around the maypole.
